School Notes:
- In addition to its own baccalaureate programs, UPG offers opportunities for students to complete one or two years of work on degrees in selected programs in the University of Pittsburgh’s Schools of Engineering, Health and Rehabilitation Science, Pharmacy and Social Work.
- UPG strives to promote the theory and enhance the practice of academic advising to ensure students’ intellectual, personal, and social development. We also actively support and promote the dissemination of University policy, procedure, and requirements to encourage student self-reliance and academic progress.
- The UPG campus occupies the the former private estate of Commander Charles McKenna Lynch. Lynch's Tudor mansion, built in 1923 and named Starboard Light, serves as the administration building. The UPG campus now includes 219 acres and 26 buildings, including 12 residence halls. UPG is located in suburban Hempfield Township just two miles southeast of the center of the city of Greensburg and approximately forty miles southeast of the center of the city of Pittsburgh.
- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg integrates the intercollegiate athletics programs into its educational mission. To fulfill this mission, the University adopts and is firmly committed to the Division III philosophy of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The primary goals of the University's Athletics Program are: providing participants with the opportunities and support for success in learning, securing the welfare of the participants, and assisting student athletes in reaching their highest level of performance.

Richard McMahon, director of dining services for Chartwells Dining Services at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg, prepared this colorful salad as a first course for the school's recent 2010 La Cultura Winter Gala. It featured a mix of hydroponic lettuce and watercress from Alexander's Greenhouse in Latrobe.
