The University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNHM) provides access to public higher education to people who live and work in the greater Merrimack Valley Region of the State of New Hampshire. UNH Manchester fulfills this mission by: Offering selected liberal arts and professional degree programs at the associate, baccalaureate and graduate levels with special emphasis on programs which address urban issues and Providing transfer opportunities for students who wish to begin their education at UNH Manchester and complete their degree requirements on the main campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham or at other USNH institutions. The College is founded on a strong liberal arts base and is dedicated to excellence in teaching. In addition to its own offerings, programs from UNH Durham enrich its academic core. UNH Manchester also values collaboration and has fostered articulation with area colleges and other USNH institutions.
The University of New Hampshire at Manchester was established in 1985 as the sixth college of the University of New Hampshire to provide access to public higher education for people who live and work in the greater Merrimack Valley Region of New Hampshire.

UNH at Manchester offers a Bachelors of Arts in Business, Communication Arts, English, History, Humanities, and Psychology, a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering Technology (including a Computer Technology option), Mechanical Engineering Technology, Nursing - RNBP, and Sign Language Interpretation. We offer an Associate in Arts in General Studies, and an Associate in Science in Biological Sciences and Business Administration. UNH at Manchester also offers Certificate Programs in Communication Skills for Managers, Business & Accounting Skills for Managers, and Human Behavior Studies.
The University Center, located in Manchester's historic mill yard, is a fitting setting for the University's urban college. The 75,000 square foot facility, formerly the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company's machine shop built in 1880, recently completed an exciting transformation that includes tripling the size of the library, creation of multimedia classrooms, new microbiology, psychology, and media labs and a radio studio.
