School Notes:
  • Mid-Continent University is one of the few universities today embracing the business-to-business model with a special mission to remove the barriers that most adults have encountered to continuing their education.
  • Mid-Continent University possesses a variety of programs to foster personal and professional development. Mid-Continent students can choose from a number of majors and minors from both the College of the Bible and the College of Arts and Sciences. Our student to faculty ratio varies from year to year, but it usually averages around 14-1. Our professors and instructors are very student-friendly. In addition, as the University is a Christian institution, the faculty incorporates a Christian worldview in all of the courses.
  • Mid-Continent is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This organization is the regional accrediting body for the Southern states and it ensures the institution’s academic quality. Furthermore, coursework done at Mid-Continent is transferable to other accredited institutions.
  • For the second consecutive year, Mid-Continent University received an "excellent" rating of 3.84 on the Kentucky's Education Professional Standards Board Report Card placing 3rd among 27 private and state universities and colleges. Mid-Continent's rating was second only to Pikeville College at 3.90 and Centre College and University of the Cumberlands which both scored 3.88.
