The Missouri S&T Lady Miner volleyball program was rewarded for its great year in the classroom this past season earning the team academic award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. It is sweltering outside but at the New Life Community Church of God it was a time of spiritual renewal and refreshment. Youth and children were energized at the Vacation Bible School (VBS) the church hosted from June 21 to June 25 and the women were refreshed at the ladies’ night out on June 25. - Remembering Wooden (The Springfield News-Leader)

This year's graduating class at Fellowship Christian Academy presented a new American flag with a solar spotlight as its gift to the school of 150 students. More than 250 turned out for the school's 28th commencement.
