- From its beginnings, St. Andrews was designed to be accessible to students regardless of disability,
fulfilling the vision of the founders that all academically qualified students have access to an undergraduate education. St.
Andrews was one of the first colleges in the country to design a campus with wheelchair access in mind. As students with
physical disabilities began to attend, services were put in place to meet their academic needs. These academic support
services also benefit students with other disabilities, as does a campus environment that is disability aware.
- Major programs further provide students with a depth of knowledge and with proficiency in the tools
and techniques of at least one academic field, supplemented by an awareness of the questions of value implicit in all
vocations. The College offers educational and residential environments which enhance the academic enterprise through an array
of career, technological, and other support services.
- The focus at St. Andrews is on YOU. Technology you need to succeed is yours to work with as soon as
you arrive. The curriculum has your long-term career goals as its foundation. Faculty members listen to your ideas and work
with you to create an educational environment in which you will flourish. You begin to craft friendships with fellow students
from Wisconsin, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and thirty-six other states. Student activities
available outside of class include weekend excursions for white water rafting, beach trips or deep-sea fishing. Rock climbing
competitions, intramural sports, Saturday night bands, Ultimate Frisbee and Ultimate Golf, water polo and holiday parties are
some of the weekend activities planned by the Student Activities Union. And! There are over 40 student clubs and
organizations waiting for you to join.
