Thinking of transferring to Augustana College? Transfer Fridays are events designed especially you. To better accommodate your needs as a transfer student, we offer opportunities for you to talk with everyone -- from admissions and financial assistance counselors to academic advisors and faculty.
We'll be able to answer questions such as:
- Will my credits transfer?
- How many credits do I need before I can transfer to Augustana?
- How many students transfer to Augustana each year?
- Are scholarships available for transfer students?
- If I transfer, can I still do an internship, research with a professor, or study and travel overseas?
- If I transfer, will I still graduate on time?
- If I transfer, will I get the full Augustana experience?
For answers to these questions and more, come to one of Augustana's Transfer Fridays. Sessions are scheduled in the morning, and can include a campus tour.

Join Augustana College for our Departmental Open House & Scholarship Competition. Over 30 academic departments representing nearly 90 majors and related areas of study will be participating in the event. Each scholarship competition will vary; last year departments had students collaborating in writing workshops, participating in group discussions, and performing experiments in our laboratories, just to name a few. Further instructions will be provided from the academic department once you've registered for the event.

To qualify for this event, students must be seniors in high school (graduation year 2014) and must have applied to Augustana College before January 1, 2014.

Augustana College invites all high school students to join us for a FREE overview of the admissions process and academics at Augustana. This visit day will include an information fair featuring every academic field at Augustana and a number of other key programs such as international study, campus ministries, student activities, the honors program and the career center as well as a campus tour given by a current student and an academic session.The academic session provides an in-depth look at select departments as well as an overall academic perspective. There are three options for this section of the day:major specific academic sessions of select departments for students who believe they have decided upon a major, the Choosing a Major academic session for those who are uncertain what they will study, and a session recommended for those whose major is not listed on the registration form.
There will be a Scholarship Essay Contest. Augustana College will award three scholarships (one $1,000 and two $500) to students who attend the visit days this fall.Scholarship eligibility is based on your 500-word essay on the following topic: What is my response to the one great question that no one has ever asked me? Bring your essay with you on your visit, and we'll take it from there.
The event will take place in the Carver Physical Education Center
