Students at Lyndon State College are speaking out in support of their professors. LSC has a budget of more than $25 million this year. Administrators are trying to cut $700,000 from that to close a deficit. But the proposed cuts are not sitting well with students. -

Karen Powers is the founder and president of Green Mountain Pug Rescue. She attended Lyndon State College for business and was in the Navy for 11 years and the Vermont Air National Guard . She retired from the military in 2003. She is now an office clerk at the Vermont Department of Health. Originally from Ludlow, Mass., she lives in Lyndonville, Vt. which his northeast of Albany. CASTINE — The Lyndon State College Men’s basketball team took home a victory Friday night as they defeated Maine Maritime Academy 89-82 in a North Atlantic Conference match up. The Hornets had six players reach double figures en route to their third NAC win of the season.
