School Notes:

  • Mesa State College's main Campus is located in the heart of Grand Junction. The campus is a mix of residential and commuter students. Trees, open space, and grassy areas dominate the campus, providing areas for students to visit, study, or relax. During the late spring and early fall it is not uncommon to see an entire class held on the lawns around campus.
  • The college provides a broad, liberal arts-based curriculum, offering a wide range of degrees and programs in the arts, sciences, humanities, and selected professional disciplines. As regional education provider in western Colorado means that we offer opportunities for graduate and technical education. We provide our students with expanded opportunities to participate in research and active hands-on learning as a supplement to the classroom. Mesa State is dedicated to assisting students in achieving their goals and dreams.
  • Mesa State was authorized to offer baccalaureate degree programs on July 1, 1974. Mesa State was authorized to offer masters in business administration on July 1, 1996. Many students choose Mesa State for three reasons: hands-on learning opportunities, affordable tuition, and the location is great for skiing, mountain biking and river rafting. Mesa State truly is a unique living and learning environment.
  • Mesa State College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Various programs at Mesa are approved by appropriate state and national agencies, including the Colorado Board of Nursing, American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the Committee on Allied Health Education of the American Medical Association (Radiologic Sciences).
