    On most days when he is not in class, Lyon College student Jerry Davis can often be found in Becknell Gymnasium playing basketball. It is exactly what he was doing on a cold day in February when he became winded.

    (KATV) Batesville - On October 26, 2010 the Edwards Commons Building on the Lyon College campus caught fire. A dining hall was created in the Becknell Gymnasium, but the new temporary dining facility is open for business and can seat approximately 270 people.

     The Columbia College men's basketball team beat Lyon College 71-60 on Tuesday night in Batesville, Ark.  The Cougars (2-0) were led by sophomore forward Jordan Dressler who scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds. As a team, Columbia College shot 47 percent from the field. The Cougars get back on the court against Avila (Mo.) University at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in Kansas City.
