  • Dickinson State is located in Dickinson, North Dakota, a city of 17,000, near the rugged and beautiful North Dakota Badlands and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Outdoor recreational activities including hiking, biking, golfing, hunting, and fishing are located within minutes of campus. Dickinson is located along Interstate 94 and the community is served by commercial bus and air service for easy access.
  • Dickinson State University is accredited since 1946 by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central (regional) Accrediting Association. The Teacher Education Program was recently reaccredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and both levels of our nursing program, associate and bachelor’s degrees, are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and approved by the North Dakota State Board of Nursing. The Music Program is recognized for its quality through the National Association of the Schools for Music.
