- Founded as the College of Idaho in 1891, Albertson provides a curriculum that is grounded in the liberal arts in a challenging, intimate academic setting. Embodying its slogan "Awaken the Mind, Encounter Truth, Contribute to Community,” the college prides itself on small classes and close student-faculty interaction, while also preparing its students for leadership roles in various occupations and communities. The college's liberal arts education is enhanced with the latest technology, off-campus internships, international study and community service.
