- New England College was created in 1946 to serve the educational needs of service men and women after the Second World War. It pioneered the three-year baccalaureate degree that combined critical thinking skills from the arts and sciences with practical and professional education in business and engineering. From the beginning, NEC students studied hard, played hard and graduated to become responsible and highly productive citizens.
- We offer undergraduate, graduate and professional programs leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Education and Master of Science.
- New England College's location provides numerous opportunities for enjoying the outdoors. Nordic ski trails are available on campus, with alpine skiing readily accessible and free to students at Pats Peak, only two miles away. The unique features of the entire area lend themselves to hiking, camping, wildlife study, whitewater canoeing, horseback riding, photography and a variety of other outdoor recreational activities.
- New England College is nestled in an area abounding with natural beauty. Located in Henniker, a village of 4,000 residents just 90 minutes from Boston and 20 minutes from Concord, the state capital.
- New England College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Inc. (NEASC) through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. The Teacher Education Program (and the majors in Elementary Education, Physical Education, Secondary Education, and Special Education) are approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education.
