A record crowd of 165 entered the Railrad Days 5k race in Junction City, the highest number in its 24-year history, and an additional 30 runners from the Centre College cross country teams used the race as a training run. Two Danville 17-year-olds took top honors in the 3.1-mile race: Eric Evans was the overall winner in 16 minutes, 54 seconds, and Kaitlin Snapp the top female runner in 17:58.
