Earlham College announced Wednesday that John David Dawson, a professor of religion and former provost at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, will be its new president. The announcement was made via email and Dawson was not on the Richmond campus. Dawson begins his new duties July 1. In addition to his role as president, Dawson has been named a full professor in the department of religion. -
