    SULLIVAN - Andrew Sparrow, a recent graduate of Sullivan High School, is to continue his baseball career at Knox College in Galesburg. Sparrow, who plays for Moultrie-Douglas American Legion Post 429, has been hobbled by high ankle sprains in back-to-back years.

    A Galesburg man was taken to a Peoria hospital early this morning after being hit by a train near the Knox College football field. Malcolm Coon, whose age is “either 19 or 20,” was hit by a BNSF freight train at 2:22 a.m, said Battalion Chief Brad Stevenson of the Galesburg Fire Department.

    A Galesburg man was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria early Monday morning following a train-pedesterian accident near the Knox College football field. The accident happened at 2:22 a.m. According to a Galesburg Police Department spokesman, Malcolm Coon, whose age was listed as 'either 19 or 20,' was hit by a BNSF freight train.
