A former basketball player at Elmhurst College was convicted of a felony hate crime Tuesday for etching racist sentiments on the home of the school's only African-American dorm supervisor. DuPage County Judge George Bakalis found 21 -year-old Myles Burton of Libertyville guilty after a two-hour bench trail. -

Gulf Coast High School running back Sebastian Zuluaga, who graduated in June, has agreed to play for Baldwin-Wallace College, a Division III school in the Cleveland area. Addison voters re-elected three people to the village board on Tuesday. Incumbents Joseph McDermott, William Lynch and Tom Hundley all won new terms on the board. McDermott, Lynch and Hundley ran together under the Addison United for Action banner. Kathleen Willis, a librarian at Elmhurst College and a current member of the Addison District 4 school board, was the fourth candidate in the race.
